The World Parkinson's Program is the only registered charity providing free medications to people with Parkinson's living in poverty across the world. We are hosting a virtual fundraiser and trivia night on April 22, 2021 on ZOOM to raise funds for our patients in need. With your support, we can continue to help our current patients and more patients in need around the world. For more information on our global projects and where we need your help, read below! Currently, we provide medications to patients in 10 countries: Cameroon, Canada, Ethiopia, Ghana, Liberia, Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Uganda, and Zambia. In April of this year, we require $24,000 to provide refills in Canada, Morocco, Uganda and Ethiopia. In May, we require $9,000 to provide refills in Zambia, Liberia, Pakistan and Nepal. In July, we require $6,000 to provide refills in Cameroon and Ghana. These same refills are required every 6-months. For all of 2021, we will require a total of $75,000 to support our current patients. Many of these medication sites still have patients in need who we were unfortunately not able to support, due to lack of funding. In addition, there are two countries on our waiting list with dozens of patients who do not have any medications right now: Burkina Faso and Sudan.
